Sorry getting back to this. It has to be a mis-setup somehow on your system. I have zero problems with Element + Blackhole + Desktop Audio (YouTube). |

Also just getting back to this, thank you for looking into it. I've attempted to match your screenshot/settings exactly and am not getting any audio output. I do hear system alerts, which matches Audio MIDI Setup. The only differences I can see are:

Moved from #722 to discussion (sorry I didn't see the discussion tab earlier!). So I am trying to play music from Tidal through my computer speakers, with Element inserted in the middle in order to manipulate the audio before it arrives at the speakers.
Working with the BlackHole maintainer, I can confirm that BlackHole is working correctly outside of Element. In Tidal I can choose BlackHole as my output. If I then set it as input in Audacity, enable 'Audible Input Monitoring', and set speakers as output, then pressing record allows me to both hear the music from the speakers and record the music to a track in Audacity.
What I can't figure out is how to replace Audacity with Element in this setup. If I select BlackHole 2ch as input in Element and speakers as output, then link the two nodes, I don't hear anything. I can press the Test button next to Output: Speakers, and I do hear the test tone from the speakers.
