Is Organic Maps editor handling brand tag?

I noticed that OM users seem to often (always?) miss brand and brand:wikidata tags and they update solely name - see https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1951098619/history

this leaves objects in a damaged and half-broken state

not checked it deeper but it seems to be some bad UX/bug in editor in OM

A problem is how to detect that the business changed (See also #3491 (comment), similar problem but for category changes). A name change doesn't necessarily mean that the whole business changed and brand should be updated.

Any ideas on how to approach that?

either ask the user (StreetComplete does it this way as there is no reliable way to ask)

or always delete fields like brand (better than leaving broken data)

or try to magically guess based on how much text was changed (will not work reliably)

A "This place is vacant" (#9542) option could be a solution. Users could use it to remove all shop/amenity related tags like opening_hours or brand form a node (including tags that are not visible in Organic Maps) and turn the place into a disused:shop/disused:amenity. Then they could reopen the place and select a new category, name, etc.
