g-row classes for Bootstrap's CSS grid

I feel like Bootstraps implementation of CSS grid should have something like g-row classes similar to the g-col classes.
Currently, I know of no elegant way to responsively control content vertically, so the best solution I could come up with for a specific problem is something like this:

    <div class="grid" style="--bs-rows: 2; --bs-columns: 2; --bs-gap: 0;">
        <div class="g-col-1  bg-danger  text-center text-light" style="grid-row: 1 / span 2;">Red</div>
        <div class="g-col-1  bg-success text-center text-light">Green</div>
        <div class="g-col-1  bg-primary text-center text-light">Blue</div>
    </div>
</div>

<div class="d-md-block d-none">
    <div class="grid" style="--bs-rows: 2; --bs-columns: 2; --bs-gap: 0;">
        <div class="g-col-1  bg-danger  text-center text-light">Red</div>
        <div class="g-col-1  bg-success text-center text-light">Green</div>

When I would much rather just do something like this:

</div>
