Cliff has requested we migrate the wordpress instance he has been providing to us away from his server (primarily for security and bandwidth (support) reasons).

Available options:

  • Migrate to resources kindly provided by J. Ronan at TSSG.
  • Migrate to an azure VM thanks to credits received from Microsoft's non-profit program.

Requirements:

  • 1 vCPU
  • 1-2 GB RAM
  • 20GB disk

created a new azure VM.

VM size: Standard B1s (1 vcpus, 1 GiB memory), 32GB OS disk
OS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
IP: 20.105.130.132
DNS: web01.prod.openstreetmap.ie

Rough cost: $10/month (covered by credits)
