Toggle mode subword/word

I love that this extension exist.
But I think it lacks one thing that would make it perfect, there should be a mode that you can switch with a keyboard shortcut.
Sometimes you want to select/navigate the whole words, instead of subwords, especially when you work with cursors on many lines.
Its not good enough to be able to map the different navigations to other keystrokes, when you have been using ctrl+arrow for decades. So press toggle mode. Do your thing.
toggle back.
or perhaps
turn mode on
turn mode off

or why not implement both turn_on/turn_off and toggle
