@michaelstingl @settermjd @pmaier1

I would like to propose creation of a new homepage for documentation. Since in the current state I think users can have hard times navigating to different documentation than to the server one. Because of that I think is reasonable to have a place where it's clearly visible that we have docs divided into these products (or categories, I don't know how to call them exactly).

I worked last Friday and this one already on a potential design for this page. Here is what I came up with. Used icons in this design are only used as a placeholders - real icons that would be used in case this design would get green light I'd need to discuss with Andreas Wuensche. I'll include also multiple versions of navigation bar and footer.

@LukasHirt Only the last navigation bar is valid. The name “ownCloud” must not be left out. (see https://owncloud.org/trademark/)

Maybe we can use the icons on a lower level…

@LukasHirt I think idea was, to mimic the footer from https://owncloud.org/ . Maybe this is something that should be coordinated with the website people? /cc @hurradieweltgehtunter @lefherz

Then we can also use either the first one or third option could be also adding the logo before the text "documentation"

Also there is one more problem related to the trademark - "The logo is white on dark blue (#1d2d44). It should not be used differently, especially not inverted." Which I did in the visual and two variants of footer. But honestly this seems a little bit weird rule. I don't mean changing colours to different ones but forbidding inverted version. Is there some reason why was this decided?

I'm not sure if the index page and the different search bar placement is easily doable.

Beside this kind of index page I would prefer to get rid of the hidden component selection and show all components all the time similar to https://docs.mulesoft.com/general/ which is also built with antora based on a custom closed source theme.
