Preface: Yes I'm a grumpy old man.

I would very much like if there were a setting or group of settings to limit the 'dex selection and mechanics to a particular generation, sort of like what the "Emerald Rogue" ROMhack has. In the meantime I'm going to experiment with hacking out bits of the code on a private build to see if I can manually disable (or at least break) parts of the game I'm not interested in seeing while keeping it in a playable state. My specific ideal version would just be the pokemon from up to gen 3 (4 at the latest) but with the physical/special split implemented. If I was stuck with fairy typing too I wouldn't mind too much.
