it would be great if we could set a transparency value for vector shapes and fonts, this could be used to blend gfx together and also fade items in/out,

This is effectively a dupe of #47, if we add alpha to the PicoGraphics pens then it will be - in theory - supported and useful everywhere. Will continue discussion there!
