Description

Reported by jsun in Discord:

After clicking a link to an anchor in a page like https://docs.craftcms.com/api/v3/craft-web-request.html#public-properties, I expect the back navigation to take me back to the link I just clicked, but it doesn't. Instead, nothing happens on the first back attempt, and on the 2nd, I go to the previous page I was browsing.

Chrome and Firefox on macOS. (Just tested and it works as expected in Safari)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Navigate to https://docs.craftcms.com/api/v3/craft-web-request.html#public-properties in Chrome or Firefox.
  2. Click on an on-page-anchor link.
  3. Click on the browser’s “back” button, observe that nothing happens.
  4. Click “back” again, observe being taken back to the previous page.
