Problem

pls is currently only published as a package for macOS using Homebrew. While downloading the Linux binary from GitHub Releases works, it is a sub-par experience compared to being able to download and update pls from the system's native package manager.

Description

pls should publish packages for various operating systems.

  • .deb for Debian and related OSes
  • .rpm for Fedora and related OSes

Additional information

At least for Fedora, we can publish to COPR first, similar to how we have a custom tap that's not yet part of Homebrew core.
