newbie, set midi to a default channel on start up

Hi, I tried to change the minidexed.ini file to start up on a certain channel but it doesn't seem to work. I'd like the Minidexed to default start on channel 4. Would anyone mind showing me where to do this? When I change the channel using the encoder it resets after power down. Boy what a fun discovery this synth is. I had an old Kano computer I found for 50 cents in a goodwill junk bin a few years ago. It's been just waiting for the right project!

Have you tried to make your changes, and then save them as a performance? Then, after a restart, load that performance.
If that works, then you can make that performance the default.

MIDI channels for each TG are set in the performance.ini file, so you can use the single, default performance.ini in the root of the SD card to set the initial MIDI channels.

Be warned though, all the performances provided assume MIDI channel 1, but if you're only ever playing with single voices rather than collections in performances, then it won't matter.
