Not exactly sure if this is possible but sometimes we are able to get all of the players online at the same time. Would be great if we could burn through the turns... like moving the saved game to multi-player internet / local net for a while and then move it back to the play by turn.

I've never tried it, is it possible to just load a hotseat save as an online game?

Well, I can take the saved game from \Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Saves\Hotseat and copy it to \Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Saves\Multi and then open it in MultiPlayer - Local network or Internet. I will play around with that first just to be sure it continues and saves correctly. I will try assigning the network players to a new leader.

It's possible. I just tested it but got stuck at the turn check when trying to re-upload it.
