Reason for request

I d remember setting the 2FA at all, and even if I did, I would probably used Microsoft Authenticator.

But now, when trying to login, pypi requires also the ‘authentication code’, which as far as I understand, should trigger my application.

Is there something that I missed here?

Yes, after you sign in, you are asked for the random authentication code generated by your auth app of choice. I have initiated an account recovery process to reset your 2FA and an email is being sent to the primary email address associated with your account. Please follow the instructions in that email and reply to it, and we will go from there. Thanks!
