Trouble migrating to 3.12 - CompilerSystemProperties does not have member field COMPILE_INCREMENTAL_WITH_ARTIFACT_TRANSFORM

Hi, I'm trying to migrate to the latest LTS (3.15), when I reached 3.12 I stepped on a mine 💥, I think this is the collection of facts that lead to it:

• The Quarkus plugin (id("io.quarkus")) migrated to Kotlin 2.0, which dropped an enum constant
• I'm still on Kotlin 1.9.25 and Gradle 8.5, if I bump the kotlin version to 2 the project compiles (but then I have to deal with the runtime errors of the kotlin migration, e.g. issue 42000)

So: Does it ring a bell to anyone? Thought of asking before going down the rabbit hole of trying to see if the Gradle plugin can support multiple versions

Not really. I think we are used to Java being compatible from version to version and we didn't really expect Kotlin to break. I'm not convinced we can do something about it.

I decided to migrate to Kotlin 2, so this is no longer an issue for me, but I think anyone else doing the same upgrade will have this problem, so: should I keep this question open or close it since it no longer affects me ?
