IBGateway Version 10.23.2a

Hi Everyone,

I had to upgrade on Linux IBGateway to version 10.23.2a as I received a pop-up message saying the older version will not be supported soon.

I wanted to check whether you have upgraded the gateway as well, and observing any stability issues since, such as some (BRE) spread roll orders not getting executed, stack handler freezes, doesn't generate any log but its process still alive. I am running master branch.

I upgraded over the weekend and no problems yet, although I haven't placed any trades this week. I'm on the develop branch.
Interestingly the version it gave me (linux) is 10.19.2a, whereas my previous version was 10.20, which is puzzling. But the popup message went away and the version is dated June 13, 2023 so it IS more recent.

I only just went live a few weeks ago with the master branch on a linux mint 20.3 machine with IB gateway version 10.19.2a.

Stack handler has been smooth lately, but I had similar issues in the beginning like you describe (freezes but no log generated). I would have to manually stop and restart the process. They seem to have been related to the IB gateway daily resets that occur ~ 0015-0045 US Eastern for me. This issue has gone away after I set the stack handler to start at 0046 in the crontab.

Yes, one should find out on which IB server location you are being associated with and set process start times accordingly. Even though I am based in London, IB set me up wit NY servers.

Thank you both. I did realise I haven't been running the stable version of ibgateway (1019) but the latest beta version 1023. I have switched to the stable version. It should be smooth sailing now.

Using #10.23 for a while now. Don't forget to update ib_insync at the same time.
