Autoplay unmuted Vimeo video

Hi,

I'm building a personal Wordpress portfolio site and have successfully implemented excellent LightGallery, so far so good. The final thing I would like to be able to do is to have a 'Play video' button that when clicked autoplays a Vimeo video unmuted in LG.

Autoplay works fine if muted, which is enforced behaviour by some browsers as far as I can understand. But then I stumbled upon this site using the WP Video Popup plugin, which can do exactly what I want, and it works across all major desktop browsers I tested.

I have been comparing the generated iframe and its settings but can't for the life of me understand what makes it work differently. Does anyone have a clue if this can be achieved in LG aswell?
