customers running on-prem deployments might need to mount k8s volumes using hostPath such that data is persisted to disk and survives pod restarts and other similar events. in order to do so, they will specify local_storage.local_storage_path in their helm values, which is already possible.

but they will also need to specify server pod configuration to mount the volume at this path, which does not exist.
