Current version 4.2 LTS will have support ended in Q1 2026.

5.2 is next LTS...

@francisli and I discussed this last week. LTS 5.2 isn't expected to arrive until April of 2025. Until then, jumping up to the highest version of 5.1 seems to make the most sense: it will allow us to fix 5.x issues in the meantime, so the jump to 5.2 won't be that bad.

Keeping this issue open while working on #296 in the meantime.
