No kubernetes upgrade path from 1.28 to 1.29

Having just updated a test cluster to talos 1.8.1with kubernetes 1.28.3 I'm now trying to update towards 1.31.x

However all the combinations I've tried don't work (I've tried 1.29.1 through 9), e.g.:

talosctl --nodes stratus1 upgrade-k8s --to 1.29.3
automatically detected the lowest Kubernetes version 1.28.3
unsupported upgrade path 1.28->1.29 (from "1.28.3" to "1.29.3")

I've also tried upgrading the cluster to the latest 1.28.14 but again it says there is no upgrade path to any 1.29 release.

How do I work round this? Are there specific versions I need to go from/to?

Not sure what happened but the above upgrade path is now working successfully - I can only assume that the cluster hadn't fully 'settled' after the update to 1.8.1...
