what about multiple calibrant at the same time. #876
Comments
It is already possible to create custom calibrant. But i have never tested the integration with the software. If we create a GUI to custom calibrants, i guess it could be easy to do. If it is often used, it also could be possible to contribute to a new calibrant file on pyFAI, if Jerome agree. I don't know if there is a policy for that. BTW in user side, i don't know what it is better.

both have their interest, maybe a color could be associated to each calibrant. So it could be easy to see the difference. Even better a gradiant of color based on the selected color for each calibrant ring. |
Merging two calibrant files is "trivial", at least not more complicated than mixing two powder and using it for calibration. The second option is much more complicated, especially on the GUI side. |
The coming application will allow you to load your own calibrant file. And the issue #901 should provide to you a way to annotate few things on this files (the basic idea is to display the comments). With that you could do what you want without a specific GUI tool. |
It would be nice if we could use multiple calibrant for a calibration.
for the DIffabs CIRPAD detector, we need to use multiple calibrants in same time in order to have enough peaks per modules.
cheers
