How far are we from getting a method that gets channel info by its name

Hi,
Any idea if we will ever have a method that can fetch channel info by its name? The conversations.list is painful and the rate limit is low.

My apologies if this isn't the best place for this matter, I'm not sure where to best ask for this solution/enhancement.

No problem at all, and we hear you loud and clear on this API gap. We are looking at what we can do to facilitate progress on this. Going to keep this issue open until we have a better answer.
