Source code for "cavity" PCBs, NFC antenna

Hi, I saw that you released the schematic for solov2 but only the "core", why didn't you release the "cavity" PCBs, or NFC antenna? is this part not open source?

We are just releasing the core circuitry, which is everything that's needed to recreate a Solo2, albeit not the exact cavity form factor.

Without the NFC antenna it is not all that is needed to recreate a Solo2, apart from the cavity form factor of pcb, the antenna design is missing.

Both the antenna and cavity PCBs are very specialized, and we do not want people to copy the exact process that makes the "SoloKeys" Solo2 unique. A different, original work (which we would encourage) would need a new antenna anyways.

all this is fine but you have to be honest and declare that solokey v2 is not fully available for the comunity but has closed parts

The problem in my opinion is that if you do a fundraising campaign declaring the complete opening of the software and hardware and you convince people (including me) to support your campaign there is something wrong ... probably I'm the only one here but for me what you declare in the campaign then you have to do it or your word doesn't count for anything!

The license you're linking to is from the software monorepo, where we open sourced all of the code. It probably doesn't make sense to do more than link to the hardware repo, so I'll change that. It's definitely noted in the hardware repo that the antenna and cavity drawings are not included.

What is open source:

• All of the code
• All supporting + client tools
• Full schematic
• Hardware layout for the module

What is not:

• NFC drawing
• Cavity drawings

If you had expectations for using the cavity and NFC antenna drawings, please let me know, and I can help you develop your own. They are pretty low complexity.

The way I look at it -- if you want to make another Solo device, then SoloKeys has completely opened sourced everything you will need (pending tools we're still working on). If you want to make an exact Solo v2 clone, then there are 2 things missing :).

I am not going to create a clone of solokey v2 (even if in a completely open project in software and hardware I could do it, or not?) my was a clarification on the fact that you have declared to be completely open and instead, for 2 points that you have listed you are not and therefore for consistency you should admit it and specify it. that's all!
