Environment

  • Smapp version: 1.3.10 | develop
  • Node version: v0.x.xx
  • OS: macOS High Sierra (10.13)

Describe the bug

ERROR Cannot load networks list

Steps to reproduce

Computer freezes occasionally. Once I try to restart, this error sometimes appears and I don't know how to proceed. Sometimes the system freeze leaves no choice but to restart. I'm very confused and probably not doing anything correctly. No assurance that I have even set this up correctly. Haven't mined a single SMH yet and can't spawn an account. Very newbie obviously.

Did you try to follow the recommendations on the screenshot you have attached?
Also you can try to change your DNS

@Moonsan27 Oh wait... I see that it says that it is using configs downloaded previously. And on the network screen it says that it is actually syncing activations. So it is working :)
This popup says that there is some problem with networking (due to the error — problem with DNS / ipv6), so you may miss some updates. ;)

In short, you are connected :)

@Moonsan27 Sadly, none of the screenshots were attached.

Please check out the status on the network screen — if it does not display an error — then everything is fine and you just need to wait for the node to start up. Syncing activations may take a lot of time, especially if you are syncing from scratch.

To get any rewards you need to create PoS data and then wait for the next epoch (or mb even wait for the epoch after the next, it depends on the moment when your PoS data was ready).

If you are still thinking that something is broken, then please attach your logs (spacemesh-log file — you can click on "browse logs" on network screen).

Screenshots might be helpful, but logs are mandatory.

We recently changed the flow there and also made a more communicative message. Is the issue still present?

Additionally I see that your node was trying to reach configs over ipv6, that was also fixed.
