Co-adding data products from multiple programs

Thank you for this powerful tool for combining COS and STIS data. I am curious if there is a way to combine COS/STIS data products from multiple programs.

It sometimes occurs that multiple groups proposed for similar observations of the same targets. To avoid duplications, STScI encourages the groups to share the data. This happened with STIS/G140M observations of BD-17-588A from HST GO Programs 16701 and 16722. It would be nice to make a product that coadds these same observational set-up of the same target from different programs.
