I spend my free time working on Godot's FBX Importer, I personally and professionally love contributing to Godot.
It's my dream to make sure we can import files from all applications in Godot to make it viable and reliable for anyone in the world to use, no matter their background; software they enjoy using or things they are used to.
I will use the funding to fund the development of FBX and support my time working on the project. This would go a long way to supporting the Engine and also I believe it would help Godot grow to it's full potential.
Feel free to reach out even if you don't want to sponsor the work, as I realize it's not an option for every person out there.

SelectSupporting this tier will give you access to a monthly email which I will publish on the progress of improving FBX support in Godot and any future plans for the work I am doing on FBX.

SelectI can take a look at some individual files which break and try to put an effective plan in place to ensure your file is fixed in upcoming versions of the engine, but still feel free to put a github issue in Godot, this is not a mandatory thing to do, I want to make that clear to everyone.
In some cases neiche features of FBX are very hard to support so patience is appreciated, I have to put files through a QA process to be sure regressions are not created with other files we supported in the past.
Also, it's not a guarantee that the work would be merged direct into Godot, I have to put this disclaimer here that ALL work has to go through an approval process which is not in my own control.

SelectI can provide 1:1 bug support direct via online communication regarding FBX importing. This tier is for game studios or businesses.
It's also not a guarantee that a feature can be added, we must also consider the upstream engine, and take this into account. In some cases feature requests may be declined, and some will be accepted but they must also go through an approval process internally, which I do not have control over.
In some cases subscriptions to the software you use, may also be required so in some cases we may need to look at a temporary license for said software if you want support for that particular workflow for instance.
