How to ignore folders in Emanote?

I am currently moving my whole literate setup to Emanote. This also means that I have a dotbot folder (actually a submodule), which shows in my index.

Is there a way to exclude this folder in Emanote? I assume that neither .neuronignore nor .gitignore, will work.

Emanote ignores all folders and files whose name begin with a . (dot character). Would renaming dotbot to .dotbot work in your case?

But providing a way to configure this would certainly be useful, a .emanoteignore file for instance. And/or we can support .gitignore.

To add: There might also be cases where I need to write a .some-note file. In a general .noteignorefile we could unhide it with (gitignore-syntax:) !.some-note

No, Emanote will process all files (that do not begin with .). Files ending with .md (and in future possibly more formats) will be compiled to Markdown, and will be treated as a note with links; likewise, files ending with .yaml are treated as note/route metadata. All other files are copied as-is, and you can link to them using file wikilinks.

You can already add .html file and link to it or access it from the browser, no?

Also --- and this is not documented yet -- you can specify a custom HTML template on a per-note (or per-folder) basis; see #169 (comment)

You are right, it works. I tried it with http://127.0.0.1:8000/test, whereas it was actually http://127.0.0.1:8000/test.html... it is always the small things 😿

So overall, the Emanote server is a regular web server that I run from a local folder?
