This mode eliminates the need to type on signs altogether, replacing it instead with vanilla++ mechanics:

  • Candidate portal frames have an automatically generated name, which when activated, becomes the origin name.

    • This can be changed by right-clicking the gate with a nametag.
  • For fixed portals, destination selection occurs by right-clicking the destination portal with a compass (storing that info within the compass) and then right-clicking the origin portal to load that information.

  • For networked portals, network selection occurs by right-clicking the origin portal with either:

    • A compass clicked on a player (for a personal network), or an existing portal of the target network (for custom/default networks).
    • OR, subject to additional permissions, renaming a recovery compass with a player's name or a custom network string.
      • In effect, this is the only way to create a new non-personal network.
  • To add a flag to the portal, users need to right-click portals with a specific item.

    • A: Redstone Torch
    • B: Purple Glazed Terracotta
    • C: Vanishing Book
      • Adds one min by default; adding time consumes clocks (mins) and/or daylight sensors (20 mins)
    • D: Gunpowder
      • Adds one min by default; adding time consumes clocks (mins) and/or daylight sensors (20 mins)
    • E: Redstone Dust
    • F: Emerald
    • G: Empty map named with coordinates.
    • H: Glass Block
    • I: Beacon
    • L: Lectern
    • N: Structure Void
    • O: ??? (Potentially removed and replaced with E gate; see The E Flag #6 )
    • P: Iron Door
    • Q: Noteblock
    • R: Chorus Fruit
    • S: Light
    • T: Lodestone
    • U: Elytra
    • V: Tinted Glass
    • W: Map Centred on Origin Gate
      • The zoom level of the map determines the teleportation distance.
