A very frustrating and tragic problem with many new Steem Users occurs when they Forget their Passwords after failing to back them up at all. We have a need for a Mandatory Video on the Signup page that plays for only 30 seconds or so with Ned or Andrarchy simply welcoming and all new users to Backup their Keys and the spokesperson must stress that at this time, because of the Blockchain nature of steem, Steemit cannot reset their passwords for them which is a GOOD thing for security in a decentralized Platform.
Also Smittyvb's idea to allow steemit account owner authority of new accounts for 30 days and then automatically systematically revoke itself. This will allow a 30 day period where the steemit account actually COULD reset your password and my hat is tipped to this man for this idea that I quote here:
Also, this situation could also be helped by having Steemit store account keys for a few days after creation. Advanced users would be able to change their password to revoke Steemit’s access, but normal users would have a password reset functionality. This could also be implemented as giving the Steemit account owner authority, then have Steemit revoke itself.

When I posted this mistakenly in the wrong section, Smittyvb added a great contribution to this idea and I wish Github had steem functionality right NOW So I could upvote him! Maybe we can make a Crawler for github that auto-re-posts all your Github contributions onto Steem for you so people can upvote them :) But anyway I feel very good no i feel SOOOO good making another github contribution!
Also, the Steem Private Owner Key should never be called a password except in parenthesis after PRIVATE KEY which should be in all caps, red, and have multiple warning boxes around it which make it EXTREMELY clear that "WARNING: THIS IS A STEEM PRIVATE KEY, AND IT IS YOUR PASSWORD WHICH CAN NEVER BE RESET SO DONT LOOSE IT!" which is even more extreme than the current system which I believe could be a little more attention grabbing to underline and emphasize the fact that you cannot loose and reset that password. (Unless we implement the genius idea of @Smittyvb )

Users Forgetting Passwords, so we need a Mandatory 30 sec Video on Signup page reminding users to Backup their Keys, because Steemit cannot reset their passwords for them. Also Smittyvb's idea to allow steemit account owner authority of new accounts for 30 days to actually allow a password reset in first 30 days
Video about password management for new users
