Event details:

After each event is scheduled mentors/student group need to raise a PR here listing all the details of event in following format

0.) Event Name:

1.) Open Source Development:

  • Speaker: Ameer Jhan-Developer at olxpeople
  • Initiated by Vishal Singh
  • Fractal: The Coding Club, IET Lucknow
  • All the 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 enthusiasts are invited to join the session; there you will get answer to all your queries like-
    • Why a student should do Open Source?
    • A generalized approach to kick-start in Open Source Development.
    • How it can help in building a good profile for- 1) Students. 2) Professionals
    • What are some good platforms to start practice?
    • How to contribute to big open-source projects; just for example django, linux, firefox.

3.) Game Development with Javascript

  • Speaker: Aditya Agarwal-Software Developer HackerRank
  • Initiated by Aditya Sharma
  • Community: The CodeClub SMVDU and Microsoft Student Partners India
  • This will be a session on Game Development using JavaScript by Aditya Agarwal, software developer at HackerRank followed by an open QnA.

4.) Competetive Programming

  • Speaker: Yash Shah Developer Google

  • Community: Coding Club IIITV

  • Details:

    • We had two sessions, one beginner friendly and one advanced
    • Introduction to Competitive Programming
    • Basic Algorithms in one session
    • How to analyze a problem correctly.
    • Why compertetive programming is important irrespective of your firld of work as a Computer Science student?
    • Advanced problems and algorithms(Dynamic Programming) in 2nd session
    • Some Codeforces Problems were also solved in 2nd session
