Creating a User Mapping

Options

User mapping parameters accepted:

• username

Required: Yes

The username of the account on the foreign server.

IMPORTANT: If you are using Azure SQL, then your username for the foreign server will be need to be in the format username@servername. If you only use the username, the authentication will fail.

• password

Required: Yes

The password of the account on the foreign server.

Example

CREATE USER MAPPING FOR postgres
	SERVER mssql_svr
