In check_for_files() function, the following comment is found:

      # other dirs to check, for normal unix?

For normal unix, there is a quite large possibility of having

  • "/usr/local/etc/fonts/fonts.conf",
  • "/etc/fonts/fonts.conf"

How feasible is it to parse these files to obtain extra directories?
