is anyone willing to help me with adapting the LaTeX bundle to the extent that some of its bits and pieces could be reused for the ConTeXt bundle?
ConTeXt bundle needs pretty much its own syntax highlighing, tab completion and other things. That functionality has already been written by Patrick Gundlach. However what's missing in Patrick's bundle is support for synctex and possibly a few other sugars. (I added synctex support to my local modifications, but I just hardcoded it for my editor of choice.)
I'm wondering if it would be possible to use some of the LaTeX bundle functionality like synctex in the ConTeXt bundle to avoid reinventing the wheel for everything. Maybe that's already possible. If so, please let me know.
