Hi, I work at a nonprofit in San Diego, California. We love this service!

We're curious what it would take to include, in addition to the three callees provided through call-congress, how might we be able to add one more callee for residents we are engaging here in San Diego?

I'm guessing these are the steps we would take:

  1. Buy a Twilio account (for money)
  2. Install this flask app (for money)
  3. Create a campaign in campaigns.yaml that has our specific callee, and additionally keep target_house and target_senate to true.

My questions:

  • Will that work? (Dial three federal representatives, and our fourth number?)
  • How much would we expect to budget for ~5,000 dials?

Hi @baisong, this repository isn't really developed any longer. I have an active fork at http://github.com/spacedogXYZ/call-power/ that includes a lookup for state representative data, and an interface for campaigners to add custom local or corporate numbers. I can host it for you and provide support for a monthly fee, or you can host it yourself. For 5000 calls, you'd want to budget about $250 for Twilio costs.

You can check out the interface at http://callpower.org, or email me at [email protected] for more info.
