The QEMU Docker image that is currently published is pretty far behind the current firmware release.

UPDATE: the FW version appears to be tillitis/tillitis-key1@444ee3d which was committed April 11, 2023

It would be very helpful if that were updated to the latest release version, along with the run-tkey-qemu script.

Bonus points for adding a separate tagged image with the latest main branch.

Thank you!

We are aware of this, I know @mchack-work started the process of updating it but it might got paused due to other priorities.

You probably know this, but saying it anyways: it is possible to build QEMU locally with a newer firmware https://dev.tillitis.se/tools/#building-qemu

The qemu image is using the firmware that was in the first shipped commercial TKeys. From serial number 0x0133708200000001 (started production March, 2024) we started using the TK1-24.03 firmware.

I agree completely that we should look over the qemu image, both becuase the emulator implementation itself has moved a lot, but also because of the firmware. An issue about it had been sitting in draft for a while, but I made it a real issue now. See #10.
