I'd suggest that a fully blank line breaks a block, or perhaps that can be configurable.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm generally opposed to this sort of change, as it feels to me like feature creep and serves a use case which, while perfectly valid, is not, to my perception, very widely desired. This plugin attempts to serve only the most common, obvious cases and to maintain simplicity, rather than being eminently configurable and tweakable to suit all possible desired uses, at the cost of becoming more complex.

Where the balance lies is not always clear, and can be debated. I'm willing to reconsider my position if enough people voice support for the feature.

I also hope long (contiguous) comment blocks are folded

An option to fold long comments is quite useful. Another example (together with copyright examplet) is commenting out (temporary) block of code.
