Use bold and bigger font in device labels shown on the map #1292
Comments
I would like to see again the good readable device names as in old Traccar versions. At least, the option to set the font size. I am already happy that it is possible to change the icon size. Now it would be consequent to also allow the change of the font size (and boldness) for the device labels shown on the map. |
I'm indifferent to the original proposal, either way looks good to me. |
Thank you for your investigation! It's sad that it is not easy to change the font of the device label. My use case is an information screen where people look from some meters away on the map and want to identify the name. Also, it is not possible to set an own icon (like a profile picture), which would be then almost sufficient to identify the person. I also noticed, that there is no icon and no device label at all when the browser does not allow connections to traccar.com which is suspicious as one of the benefits of Traccar is to host it on your own hardware without needing other servers that you cannot control... isn't that a security concern compared to older Traccar versions where this connection to traccar.com was not neccessary? |
There are many things wrong with this statement, but if you want to discuss it, you should use a different thread. Let's not deviate from the topic. |
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently the device labels are hard to read and easily confused with other map labels like cities.
Describe the solution you'd like
Use bold and bigger font
