it happens because of this stupid default config

its not fixed, the whole hotkey code in iterm is so full of dark corners and can be tricked .. better wait and completely purge this feature

the whole thing of system-wide keybindings must be killed. it's just wrong. if you have multiple instances of therm/iterm running it starts to behave wrongly because of race conditions between multiple apps hooking the same keys
