My health care provider (Regence) uses Twilio for video calls, and their site won't let me schedule an appointment because Twilio returns that Brave is not supported. My health care provider doesn't get how browsers work, so they're not willing to change their page.
Twilio works great on Brave and has for years, so please just mark it as supported. It costs very little, and it fixes bugs like this across a wide range of websites. Smart people like you are the most qualified to say which browsers will work. Much more so than my crappy health care provider.
(I'm aware of #1037. This is a few years later so things have changed since then.)
I have verified that the issue occurs with the latest twilio-video.js release and is not marked as a known issue in the CHANGELOG.md.
I reviewed the Common Issues and open GitHub issues and verified that this report represents a potentially new issue.
I verified that the Quickstart application works in my environment.
Site says "Browser not supported" and doesn't let me even schedule an appointment.
Yes, I'm aware this is a problem with my health care provider. They refuse to fix it because "the framework says they don't support it." They don't understanding that "isSupported" means "isOfficiallySupportedButOtherThingsMightWorkToo".
Hi @steventrouble you may not be aware, that twilio-video will cease functioning in December of this year. I would not expect them to fix this. You might want to look at Dyte's shim and see if you continue to have the issue, and report it to them appropriately if so. https://dyte.io/blog/migrate-twilio-video-dyte-shim/ (I am not an employee of Dyte, I am a longtime Twilio Video user and have been impressed with Dyte as a nearly in-place replacement).
