Food mechanics and UI revamp
- Food value is broken down into 2 parts, the base and the bonus. Easy food give high base low bonus (more filling in newbies'/munchers' perspective, more forgiving early game); complex food give low base high bonus (easier to stack yum bonus with).
- Can no longer stack yum bonus to such a level that you don't need to eat for an entire life. Food pips drain faster at that extreme level. Players are encouaged to eat in rounds than all at once, keeping the food mechanics relevant throughout a life.
- Food bar is shortened to 15 pips. (used to be 20 pips)
- The bonus pips will go into the bonus part of the food bar directly if you yum; otherwise it reverts to go into the base food bar, without overflow. Game character will show an emote when it eats meh.
- The yum slip that says YUM or MEH is replaced by a more visible kinda speech/thought bubble.
- Yum multiplier (e.g. "x3") is displayed as "LEVEL: 3". The text also changes to hint its relation to the bonus food bar (e.g. "(+4 BONUS NEXT YUM)"). And when you eat a yum food, the increment of the bonus food pips is shown in a fade animation. These changes aim to help new players to learn the yum mechanics.
Other changes
- The description of the object/character you are mousing over is now displayed like a tooltip (used to be at the panel at the bottom of screen). New tips to show you what your character is holding is added.
- Age and gender display is added.
- Craving now has a cap in the size of tech jump from one food to the next (whenever applicable, because there are gaps in the tech tree larger than the cap).
- Fertility commands are now silenced (NO BB / YES BB etc)
