Prerequisites

  • I verified that this is not a filter list issue. Report any issues with filter lists or broken website functionality in the uAssets issue tracker.
  • This is NOT a YouTube, Facebook or Twitch report. These sites MUST be reported by clicking their respective links.
  • This is not a support issue or a question. For support, questions, or help, visit /r/uBlockOrigin.
  • I performed a cursory search of the issue tracker to avoid opening a duplicate issue.
  • The issue is not present after disabling uBO in the browser.
  • I checked the documentation to understand that the issue I am reporting is not normal behavior.

I tried to reproduce the issue when...

  • uBO is the only extension.
  • uBO uses default lists and settings.
  • using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

Hello,

Even though the Chrome extension is no longer supported, you can still continue to use it. Just go into your extension settings and simply turn it back on. Although Chrome no longer supports it, you're under no obligation to delete it. Again, simply turn it back on and go about your day as you normally would.

A specific URL where the issue occurs.

google.com

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Extensions
  2. Turn uBlock Origin back on
  3. Exit
  4. Enjoy!

If you haven't installed the extension yet (or uninstalled it too soon, like I did), you can still add it from the Chrome Web Store with a workaround:

  1. Go to https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm
  2. Inspect the disabled 'Add to Chrome' button.

  1. Find the button element and remove the disabled attribute
