Right now, chisubmit is implemented to meet only the requirements of CMSC 23300. Although it's not unreasonable to assume that other courses could be run in the same way, ideally we should support additional VCS. This could be done using a plugin architecture where the instructor just has to specify what VCS she uses in her class.

This is a long term enhancement; I wouldn't touch it until the core of chisubmit is pretty solid.
