Maybe, your question is: Are there logs generated after running a script, if the script ran without the user (me) explicitly capturing the output (into a log)? |

I read that the Web UI does not save logs. |

I hope you can help. I was using the privacy.sexy web interface and before making large changes I decided to run a test so I found and selected "Clear Microsoft Paint recent files history" item. The pane on the right then showed the script for that checked item. I then clicked the green left "Download" button. I located the file and ran it. A command windows opens and to my shock, A LOT of stuff starts flying by! I had thought that the downloaded file was ONLY going to modify the selected item on the web UI, in this case the "Clear Microsoft Paint recent files history" item. However it appears that much more had happened given how much stuff flew by in the command window. I can only guess that I might have checked some other boxes and forgot to uncheck them before doing my MS Paint test. Is there a clean easy way to undo what the script did? By clean I mean, if the service wasn't running before I ran the script, and running the scripted set it to off, I don't want the "undo" or revert to turn it on (when it wasn't before). However, if the service WAS running and the script turned it off, then I DO want the "undo" or revert to turn it back on. Unfortunately I didn't do a system restore before running the script :(
I attached the resulting script as a text file.
