In the Argos system, locations of the animal are sent via the Argos satellite system and data are made available to the researcher via a website where they are displayed on maps, in tables or charts. They can also be received automatically by email or directly through mapping software.

Periodic and automatic data acquisition could be added to OzTrack, allowing tracks of animals to be followed in real time
