HTTP Authentication not working

Hi there,

I can't seem to be able to get http authentication to work.

It may be worth noting all my links are forced to always go to https. Could this be the issue? If so how can i resolve this? Am i able to update your config file so that it authenticates via https?

I am using up to date Centos 7, up to date Apache and up to date PHP 7.

any help would be much appreciated.

Having the same issue. Authentication won't accept any username and password.

Same issue for me too on 1and1 shared hosting server !!!
