Expected Behavior
I have a use case where multiple embeds on a single page need to have their audio levels individually controlled - all videos will be continually playing but muted on or off. The default player behaviour is to synchronize the audio level between all players, which means I am unable to control them individually. When set via the API the volume level will not be synchronized to other players or stored as the viewers preference, described here . Unfortunately I can't catch the synchronization when the user interacts with a volume slider.
Actual Behavior
The players use a syncing method in local storage to share their volume between all players in all tabs (it appears playback rate also gets synchronized). It would be great if there was an option to disable this behavior from synchronizing so that each player can be completely independent.
Steps to Reproduce
Open up two tabs of any vimeo embedded videos, control the volume slider on one and watch the other's volume synchronize to it.
You can see the local storage variable changing:
Firefox:
Storage > Cookies > https://player.vimeo.com > player > volume=X"
Storage > Local Storage > https://player.vimeo.com > sync_volume > X
Chrome:
Storage > Cookies > https://player.vimeo.com > player > volume=X"
