Documentation is

  • Missing
  • Outdated
  • Confusing
  • Not sure?

Explain in Detail

Please drop support for versions of Node that are not currently maintained by the Node.js project.

Your Suggestion for Changes

Please see the Node supported versions document and do not reference any older versions in documentation.

Why

I am now three days into setting up "Hello World" with Vite + Vue + TS + Prettier + Yarn Berry + ESLint + Prettier plugins.

And I already reached the OpenAI limit for how many o1-preview tokens I can use getting help.

Seeing a mention of "Node 14" in the documentation does not demonstrate that the documentation is up-to-date.

When something is that hard to install just to get started, and your energy level or emotion level is anything less than "I am willing to spend 40+ hours to get hello world running" then any quality sniff like that does not demonstrate an actively maintained and useful project.

Can you point out where did we reference that?

Sorry about that, that was on the old v3 documentation page

https://v3.vitejs.dev/guide/

So I think that info is correct, and this this issue is wrong. Closing.
