I am working for a big non-profit organization. As usual in bigger organizations, for security reasons, when using a downloaded package, no further installation from the internet is allowed, just as if I would, on a private PC, after downloading the installer remove the network cable.

Therefore, when I start VokoScreen 4.2, the encoder for MP4 is not available. In VokoScreen 4.0 it is available, but I would not recommend using it, because there are bugs that you just fixed.

Would you mind including the encoder in the installer of the next package, so that everything can be installed in one go without internet connection?

Congratulations for the great application.

Best regards

The installation package for version 4.0.0 was checked and it was found that the openh264 codec was accidentally included. Version 4.0.0 was then withdrawn from the homepage. https://linuxecke.volkoh.de/vokoscreen/vokoscreen-download.html

Note:
CISCO provides a free implementation of the patent-protected video codec H.264. Cisco pays all license fees for this binary module to the MPEG LA patent pool.
To meet the licensing requirements, the CISCO binary module (codec) is downloaded from vokoscreen.

A prominent example of being able to use CISCO H.264 is Firefox. See the Firefox settings.
