vro shim and token based auth

I am having trouble understanding the benefit of having OAuth bearer token and SSO HoK token parameters in the vro shim.

As far as I know, those are temporary and that means someone would have to update the request URL each time the token is refreshed.

If Orchestrator or vIDM offered an API key solution that would be ideal but in my opinion we should remove these two authentication methods from the shim.
