The basic example was created by directly translating the official AWS KCL Python sample found at amazon-kinesis-client-python.
I think this would be super helpful for newcomers, and based on the discussion over in the issue, I think it closes #12.
I'm happy to discuss changes in the example, though. I just tried to stick to the examples from the upstream AWS KCL docs, and convert them to golang as closely as possible.
