Question about reintroducing stratum 0 support

Hello!

At my employer we are currently evaluating cvmfs. We will probably use this module to configure the clients.
It looks like there was code for working with stratum 0 servers earlier but it was removed in #113.

Is that decision "final"? Or was it simply a case of nobody using and maintaining it?
(Would you be open to accepting merge requests that refresh the code?)

it was exactly that. The stratum ones here were no longer using this module and what was there was hopelessly out of step with reality of what was needed. It was better to chuck it. In addition while I use maintain this clients myself a lot I know longer myself run the stratum ones.

As for re-adding. No massive reason not to if it stands a chance of working. Maybe a new distinct module using this one ?

I will take some time to study the old code to evaluate how much work that would actually be to refresh it.
Right now I do not know enough to have an informed opinion about re-adding here or in a new module.
